## What should I know before a local proxy check?

**Quick answer**

As of 15 October 2026, **LocalSERP Proxy** supports manual US local checks with residential traffic from $0.53/GB, paid in crypto with no KYC. These 30 answers distinguish an exit IP from a map coordinate, explain the prepaid balance and show which settings make a local observation useful.

## Local checks, search and ads

### What is LocalSERP Proxy used for?

Use it to inspect a local version of a public page or your own application from a US exit IP. A useful check records the city, time, query, device and page settings. The service supplies the connection; you choose the question and interpret the evidence.

### Is this a local rank tracker?

It supplies proxy traffic, rather than a scheduled ranking dashboard or a coordinate grid. Keep occasional Google Search and Maps checks manual. For recurring measurement, use a legitimate tracking service under its terms, or the official reports available to your own business and website.

### Can a city IP reproduce every Google result?

No single connection reproduces every resident’s screen. Account history, language, query wording and the location Google uses can change the result. Record those settings beside the exit IP. Treat one screenshot as one observation, then compare like-for-like checks instead of calling it a citywide ranking.

### Does a city IP select an exact Google Maps pin?

A city-selected exit does not establish a precise street address or map coordinate. Maps can use browser location permission, the visible map area and the place named in a query. Record the actual search context. A grid report needs a method that explicitly defines each observation point.

### How should I check my Google Ads?

Start with Google Ads’ Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool for your own campaign. Google recommends it to avoid adding impressions to your performance statistics. A proxy is useful for inspecting the final landing page directly. Keep live search checks occasional and do not click ads as a test.

## City targeting and browser location

### Which residential location controls are included?

Country and city targeting on every plan; in the United States also state and ZIP code; ASN targeting at no extra cost. City availability varies. These controls select the requested exit location; they do not promise an address, neighbourhood or available endpoint at every moment. Check the current selection before committing a local test and confirm what the destination itself reports.

### How do I confirm the requested city?

Read the exit IP with an IP lookup, record the lookup provider and its city result, then inspect the destination’s own location indicator. If those disagree, retain both results. A catalogue label and an IP database are evidence inputs, not proof that every website assigns the same city.

### When should I choose a state or ZIP code?

Use a state for a statewide content or delivery hypothesis. Use a ZIP code when the test specifically concerns postal-area treatment. Country, state, city and ZIP describe different scopes. A shipping destination entered on a retailer’s page can still take priority over the exit IP.

### What happens when my city is unavailable?

City availability varies. Inspect the current catalogue or checkout and ask support when a required option is missing. Do not label a state-level replacement as a city result. Either wait, document the broader scope, or use another source of local evidence that actually meets the test.

### Does a proxy change GPS or browser location permission?

It changes the network exit used for the connection. It does not itself change device GPS, a browser’s granted location, an entered address or an account profile. Keep these inputs explicit in a test. If an app requires device coordinates, use its authorised development and testing controls.

### Which language and browser settings should I record?

Record the browser language, search interface language, device category, signed-in state and any location permission. Use a separate ordinary browser profile for each test context so earlier cookies do not silently change the experiment. This keeps observations comparable; it does not make the browser a typical local resident.

## Sessions, protocols and access rules

### How long can a sticky session last?

Sticky sessions keep the same IP for the time you set (ttl, in minutes), up to 30 minutes. The IP can change earlier, for example if the residential device goes offline. For a local check, record the session start and its requested duration. If the exit changes during a multi-step task, mark that observation as interrupted rather than presenting the before and after screens as the same connection.

### How does rotating traffic change the IP?

Rotating mode: each new connection gets an IP from the pool, usually a different one. To get a new IP on every request, send one request per connection (turn off keep-alive). Sticky mode keeps one IP for the session time you set. Verify the observed exit for each case. Stop if the destination restricts access; rotation does not change its rules.

### Can I reserve one residential address permanently?

A sticky session is temporary access to a residential connection, with an upper duration and a possible earlier IP change. It is not ownership of an address. If your test needs an address that remains fixed for days, the residential product described here does not establish that requirement.

### Which connection protocols are supported?

HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT) and SOCKS5. For ordinary browser checks, start with HTTP proxy port 7777 and the credentials from your account. SOCKS5 uses port 7778 in a compatible client. Keep the destination’s HTTPS connection enabled and do not disable certificate verification to troubleshoot a proxy.

### Should I use SOCKS5 in my browser?

Use the HTTP proxy route when the browser needs username/password authentication. Browser SOCKS5 support does not necessarily include that authentication method. An IP allowlist is a separate account setting. Confirm the actual client’s capabilities rather than assuming that a SOCKS5 port accepts every browser configuration.

### May I automate Google Search or Maps through the proxy?

Keep these checks manual. Google’s robots instructions disallow automated access to search routes, and its terms address access that conflicts with machine-readable instructions. Use official reporting or an appropriately authorised data service for recurring work. Our examples do not send scripted requests to Search or Maps.

### What should I do when a target blocks a check?

Stop the affected test, retain the error and review the destination’s access rules. A working exit IP does not establish permission to access the target. Use an official route where available. Report connection faults to [support](https://localserpproxy.com/contact/), with redacted settings and the time zone, rather than repeatedly changing exits.

## Plans, usage and refunds

### What is the entry residential plan price?

The 1 GB plan costs $1.50 from the prepaid balance. Residential rates start from $0.53/GB at the qualifying tiers in the [price grid](https://localserpproxy.com/pricing/). A plan price and the cash needed to fund an account are separate numbers; check both before paying.

### Do unused gigabytes expire?

Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them. Keep access to the account where the traffic is held. Account deletion or closure for a breach of the terms removes unused traffic; the terms also explain the notice and transfer rule if a product is discontinued.

### How is billable traffic calculated?

Usage counts all data sent and received through the proxy (upload and download, headers included). 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. Connection attempts that fail before reaching the target are not counted. Browser images, scripts and other resources can make a check larger than its visible text. Measure a representative task before planning a batch. The dashboard’s traffic counter is the billing record; a page count alone cannot establish your consumption.

### Is there a free trial?

No free trial: test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the rest of the top-up stays on your balance. Before funding, check that your required targeting option and intended destination suit the service. After purchase, begin with a small manual test and retain its settings. The [refund policy](https://localserpproxy.com/refunds/) distinguishes unused-volume credits from a fault that support cannot repair.

### When is a traffic-plan credit available?

For a residential or rotating-mobile plan, request within 72 hours and use less than 20% of its traffic and no more than 1 GB. A faulty plan support cannot fix within 24 hours is credited in full. These are balance credits; [refunds](https://localserpproxy.com/refunds/) explains dedicated ports and mandatory legal exceptions.

## Crypto payments and balance

### How much must I send to start?

The minimum top-up is $25. Buying a small plan uses part of that balance and leaves the remainder for later purchases. Your wallet may charge a network fee. The checkout gives the exact crypto amount and network, so do not convert the advertised dollar plan price yourself.

### What are the payment steps?

Choose a plan, open the top-up and send the exact amount on the displayed network. Click “I've sent the payment”; the TXID is optional. The transfer is matched by its exact amount and the balance is credited once confirmed. Purchase the plan from that credited balance.

### Which coins can I use?

The supported coins are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. The payment page identifies each accepted network; a familiar ticker on a different network is not interchangeable. Read the network beside the deposit address, include the exact quoted amount and allow your wallet to account for any withdrawal fee.

### Is a top-up credited within a fixed time?

No fixed crediting time is promised. A payment must be reported and confirmed on its selected network. Follow the payment page’s state and contact support if it does not progress as expected. Avoid sending a second transfer merely because the first one has not appeared in the balance.

## No KYC and agency accounts

### Does no KYC mean no identity documents at signup?

No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no documents to sign up, top up or buy. Service may still be refused or suspended for abuse, fraud or a legal obligation. Keep the use professional and within the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://localserpproxy.com/acceptable-use/). A minimal signup process does not waive a destination’s access rules or applicable restrictions.

### What happens if I lose the account number?

Your account number is your login: save it somewhere safe. Add an email (optional) if you want a way to recover it. Without an email, a lost account number cannot be recovered. Store the number in an approved password manager. A public blockchain transaction ID does not replace it or establish account access.

### Can an agency separate client projects?

Username and password on every plan, or an IP allowlist (up to 10 IPs). Sub-users with their own credentials and traffic cap. API keys you can revoke at any time. Use a project sub-user for each client’s work, protect the main account number and keep credentials outside shared evidence. The agency remains responsible for its targets and requests.
